In a sweet shop the colour is the product. A clear can filled with graded jellies or pink-and-white marshmallows sells itself, without a word.
Compared with a clipped bag, the sealed can keeps sweets crisp and does not let the smell out. It stacks on the shelf, it does not tip over and it counts easily at inventory.
For small shops, the machine means you can make exactly the portions you need, on the day you sell. You do not order printed packaging in tens of thousands and you do not hold stock of pre-packed goods.
With a printed sleeve, the same can becomes your brand's pack — useful above all for gifts, themed sets and collaborations.

It is also called a can seamer, a can closing machine or simply a can sealer. It is the same machine: it mechanically seams the aluminium end onto the mouth of the PET can, by double seaming.
