Granola, muesli and breakfast products
Granola sells on crunch. A clipped bag loses it in three days; the seamed can keeps moisture out completely, and the mix stays exactly as it left the oven.
You make the batch, let it cool and portion it into cans while it is still dry. Each can closes in a few seconds, so a batch of a hundred portions is packed in one morning, with no packaging line.
The clear can shows exactly what is in the mix: the whole almonds, the pumpkin seeds, the cranberries. For a product bought on its ingredients, that does more than any text on a label.
The cylindrical format sits well on a shelf, stacks and is easy to pick up with one hand. And the ring-pull end opens without scissors and can be covered again with a reusable plastic lid if the portion is a large one.

It is also called a can seamer, a can closing machine or simply a can sealer. It is the same machine: it mechanically seams the aluminium end onto the mouth of the PET can, by double seaming.
